Own Your Own Business Event Returns to Philadelphia This Weekend

OAKS, Pa. — The Philadelphia Franchise Show returns this weekend, bringing the region’s largest “own your own business” event to the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center on Saturday and Sunday.

The two-day show runs Saturday, Oct. 3 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 4 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Hall C of the expo center at 100 Station Ave. in Oaks, just outside Philadelphia.

Attendees can meet face to face with franchise brands from every industry, including food, fitness, home services and retail. Organizers say the show offers full-time and part-time business opportunities at every investment level, all under one roof.

“This is your only opportunity to meet with the hottest businesses face to face,” the show’s organizers said. “Ask questions and get the information you need in a no pressure environment.”

The show also features free seminars on the ins and outs of franchise ownership. Topics include legal advice, how to choose the right business, financing options and government assistance programs.

Admission is $10 at the door, but visitors can register online for free admission through the show’s website. Military personnel receive free admission with ID at the ticket booth. About 5,000 attendees are expected over the two days.

Presented by Career Ownership Coaching, the Philadelphia edition is part of the national Franchise Show series, which bills franchising as an easier path to business ownership than starting a company from scratch.

For aspiring entrepreneurs weighing a career change, the weekend offers a chance to compare vetted franchise concepts side by side and talk directly with the franchisors and advisors behind them.
