Harry Potter in Concert Plays Its Final Show Today

The Philadelphia Orchestra closes its three-night run of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in Concert today with a final 2 p.m. matinee at Marian Anderson Hall.
The orchestra performed John Williams’ score live to picture on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m., with conductor Justin Freer and the Mendelssohn Chorus of Philadelphia joining for the performances, according to BroadwayWorld and PhillyVoice.
The concert format projects the third film in the Harry Potter series in high definition on a large screen while the full orchestra plays Williams’ score. The music marked a shift in the series’ sound, expanding earlier themes while adding new, more complex motifs.
The concert runs about three hours with an intermission, according to PhillyVoice. Tickets ran from $56 to $146 including fees.
The performance is part of the orchestra’s 2026-27 season at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, which also includes Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert in January, according to the orchestra’s season announcement.
Marian Anderson Hall is at 300 S. Broad Street.
