Eagles Send Cam Jurgens to Ravens for Draft Picks in Another Offensive Line Shakeup

PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia Eagles traded two-time Pro Bowl offensive lineman Cam Jurgens and a 2027 seventh-round pick to the Baltimore Ravens for a 2027 fifth-round selection and a 2028 second-round pick, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The deal, reported Wednesday, came less than 24 hours after All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson announced his retirement, marking a stunning two-day makeover of an offensive line that powered the Eagles to a Super Bowl LIX title.

Jurgens, 27, was the 51st overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft and succeeded Jason Kelce at center, earning Pro Bowl selections in 2024 and 2025. He signed a four-year, $68 million extension before the 2025 season. This season the Eagles moved him to left guard after Landon Dickerson’s injury, with Drew Kendall taking over at center, and Jurgens started the first four games before self-reporting concussion symptoms Monday and entering the league’s concussion protocol.

The centerpiece of Philadelphia’s return is the 2028 second-round pick, which gives general manager Howie Roseman another premium asset. The Eagles now hold two first-round picks and two second-round picks in 2028, with the extra first-rounder acquired by trading A.J. Brown to New England in June.

Baltimore had an urgent need at center after losing Tyler Linderbaum in free agency and cycling through three replacements this season amid injuries. Former Eagles center Jason Kelce said on the Pat McAfee show that he was excited for Jurgens to return to his natural position.

The trade continues a dramatic week for the Eagles’ offensive line. With Johnson retired, Jurgens traded and rookie Markel Bell expected to take over at right tackle, three of the five starting spots have turned over from the unit that opened the season.
