The Marple Newtown Fightin’ Tigers welcomed the Owen J. Roberts Wildcats to the Gauntlett Community Center in Broomall, PA on Tuesday afternoon, with first pitch set for 3:45 PM.
Marple Newtown enters today’s game at 3-4 on the season, having earned a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Lower Merion on April 8, competing in Pennsylvania’s highly competitive Central League.
The Owen J. Roberts Wildcats are based in Pottstown, PA. The Wildcats baseball program has won seven PAC-10 championships and have advanced to District play in fourteen of their nineteen seasons, with three state tournament appearances. Today’s freshman/9th grade game gives the next generation of Wildcats a chance to continue that proud tradition.
